The Fall of the Voting Rights Act Changed the Math. MI-10 Could Decide the Majority.
Republicans are winning the redistricting battle.
Virginia’s attempted redistricting reform failed, and with the Voting Rights Act dismantled by the conservative Supreme Court, Republican legislatures across the South are drawing maps designed to dilute Black voting power and lock Democrats out of seats we should be competing for.
The political math has changed. Which is exactly why Michigan’s 10th District matters more than ever.
MI-10 is one of only THREE open toss-up seats in the entire country. We must win it. Not just because control of Congress could come down to races exactly like this one, but because this district has a massive ripple effect up and down the ballot.
A strong Democratic turnout and persuasion operation here helps Democrats running statewide for our open Senate and Governor races while also boosting Democratic chances in critical state legislative flip seats. In short, MI-10 is a force-multiplier opportunity with consequences up and down the ballot.
And unlike states where politicians are rigging maps to avoid accountability, here in Michigan, we still have the opportunity to fight for voters directly. That’s exactly what we are doing every single day: Our team is mobilizing hundreds of volunteers, we are out knocking doors, we are talking to voters where they are, and we are building the kind of grassroots campaign that wins tough districts the good old-fashioned way: through organizing, trust, and hard work.
There’s more good news: A new poll of likely Democratic primary voters in Michigan’s 10th Congressional District shows our campaign with a commanding early lead and a clear path to both securing the nomination and flipping this seat in November. We begin with a double-digit lead in the primary, and after voters hear balanced information about the candidates, our support grows to an outright majority.

The data also shows something incredibly important: The general election polling from January 2026 shows that I am the ONLY Democrat beating the likely Republican nominee.
The path to victory is real. But it requires investment and hard work. If you’ve been waiting for a race where your support can truly make a national difference, this is it.
Please share this post, donate if you can, and sign up to volunteer. Republicans have changed the maps. We are going to win this seat by out-organizing and out-working everyone else.
